Our Christmas tree

It is the 3rd of December and I finally decided I need to put up our Christmas tree. But what a mission!

Our Christmas tree is really old,I think it’s as old as my oldest daughter? Can this really be true? 27? Where did the time go!

This of course takes me back to all our times as a family around the Christmas tree when the kids were little. Until, they left home and came back again for all our Christmas times together.

These are really good memories.I used to spoil my kids with lots of little gifts and I think the excitement for me was to see the joy on their little faces when they opened each gift.I feel so fortunate and privileged to have my family here together.  Even though we are so far from our home country that has all of our immediate family. And what a blessing to have friends here which I would proudly also call family!

I am not ready for Christmas yet….I still have to buy gifts and finish decorating this house. I love the bling of Christmas and love when my family come and spend the day with us.

Getting back to our Christmas tree….the leaves started falling into my floor so my husband said “Why don’t you just buy a new tree?”

Great idea right! Yet I am so sentimental and have placed the tree outside by our entertainment area.

How about you, how do you feel around Christmas time?

Do you have a story about your Christmas tree or special memories of Christmas?
